Like many web design and graphic design firms, blüchair would love to be able to do the design work and then be done with the project. Although coding and development can be fun for people like me, their passion is coming up with beautiful, functional, effective designs.
Jonathan Day, owner of blüchair media, was running into common issues with development. Breast Cancer Planner, a helpful cancer resource, wanted a content management system and additional functionality like a shopping cart, custom contact form integrated with an email provider, and custom order entry for e-commerce to best server her customers.
The learning curve, time, and labor expense to develop custom WordPress sites can erase a design company’s profit margins and slow turnaround to a crawl. Of course, a WordPress content management system also has a lot of benefits for both the designer and the customer, including plug-in functionality and customer-based content updating.
So, Jonathan looked to me to save time and money while delivering a great result to his customer.
blüchair produced the design, shot it to me in an Adobe file, and then sat back and relaxed as I developed the site, shopping cart, and customizations.
blüchair was able to continue working on other projects, get new projects, and focus on design. Breast Cancer Planner received an effective, good-looking, well-built site, that spreads the word about her resource and sells it online.
