Kona Bible Church Web Design
We love working on web design with smaller organizations and non-profits. They have unique needs and a unique personality.
Kona Bible Church was one such group. They approached us to create a website shortly after launching as a new church in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii’s Big Island. Being brand new meant that their branding was a blank canvas and driven primarily by just a few key stakeholders.
On a tight budget, we were able to customize a WordPress template combined with YouTube and Facebook to fit the rich media needs of a church (video and audio sermons, podcasts, calendars, etc). We decided to focus the site around what the church is really all about–the people. This meant incorporating–leading with, actually–close up photography of faces and service times.
When it came to updates, the Pastor needed to be able to make changes to the site himself. And, churches are constantly changing with new content every week. We coded everything with this in mind making for simple back-end administration.
We’d like to give a special thanks to Bob Brown of Eye Expression Photography for his excellent photos.
